We’re Off To Germany

The Task

With Scotland preparing for EURO 2024 in Germany this summer, Learning Through Football invites 8 to 12 year-old children to ignite their imagination and create a short story (300 words maximum) titled ‘We’re Off To Germany’.

Whether it’s through the eyes of a player, referee or supporter we want to read your amazing stories about Scotland playing at this year’s EURO’s.

The Prize

3 winning entries will receive an online school visit from Dan Freedman.

1 overall winner will be invited to attend Scotland’s send off game at Hampden on the 7th June.

The Criteria

How to Enter

Send your entries to and include the following details:

  • Full name
  • Age/Stage
  • School
  • Local Education Authority
  • Contact name @ school (i.e. class teacher/specific staff member) 
  • School contact email address
  • School contact phone number

The Deadline

Competition closes on 9th May.
