To mark Scottish Maths Week 2023, a series of spotlights focus on the impact of Maths & Numeracy on the world of football.

This spotlight, in particular, looks at the importance of planning an itinerary for match day preparations.

Lisa is the Women's Senior National Team Manager for The Scottish FA.

More Learning Opportunities

Learners change times from 24 hour to 12 hour clock notations.
Learners cut use a cut-up version of the task and arrange the schedule in chronological order.
Learners could work out the timings of the schedule working back from finishing time (instead of start of the day).
Learners could discuss the reasons why certain parts of the schedule are given more or less time than others.
Learners could begin to extend their learning to time differences between countries e.g. why is there only 1 hour in the schedule for the Frankfurt - Edinburgh flight when the actual duration of the flight is longer?
Learners could research the actual duration of flights taken.
