We're Off to Germany!

With Scotland preparing for EURO 2024 in Germany this summer, Learning Through Football invited pupils to ignite their imagination and create a short story titled; 'We're Off to Germany!'.

Learners could choose to write from various perspectives e.g. a player, a referee or supporter with the aim to excite and interest their audience with their amazing stories about Scotland playing at this year's European Championships.

To support teachers and learners in their creative writing lessons and tasks, the Scottish FA and Learning Through Football were delighted to work in partnership with award-winning author, Dan Freedman.

Three shortlisted entries received an online school visit from Dan and the overall winning entry attended Scotland's EURO send-off Friendly against Finland as a VIP.
