About the project
"Over the course of the term, we looked at different aspects of the Rutherglen Ladies journey.
We used all the resources on the Learning Through Football platform, which made the topic easy to follow and engaged all the children.
The resources on the platform links all the learning to the Benchmarks from the Curriculum for Excellence, ensuring breadth and depth of learning.
We also were able to adapt some of the materials to incorporate our Rights Respecting Schools work, relating to women’s rights and gender equity.
The children thoroughly enjoyed the topic and the trip to Hampden consolidated their learning and gave them a wonderful experience.
I would highly recommend this topic and trip to any teachers as it was very rewarding for all the children involved."

Learning - From Classroom to Hampden
Learning kicked off in school before the pupils and staff made a trip to the Scottish Football Museum at Hampden to apply and extend their learning at the Rutherglen Ladies FC exhibition.
